Completion of the sale of Castlethorpe Nursing Home

Buyacarehome members, DC Care, Adams & Remers and Chandler & Co successfully complete on the sale of Castlethorpe Nursing Home.

On behalf of DC Cares longstanding client Dr. Craven, DC Care is delighted to announce the recent successful sale of Castlethorpe Nursing Home, located on the outskirts of the historical market town Brigg, North East Lincolnshire.

Castlethorpe Nursing Home is a grand former landowner’s residence with associated outbuildings, all residing within 2.843 acres of extensively landscaped grounds. In the years following change of use into a care facility, the outbuildings were amalgamated into the main building and further extensions were added.

The business provides both nursing and residential care and has an effective capacity of 44 clients. Since opening in 1988, the home has been lauded for providing excellent standards of specialist nursing care which includes general nursing, high dependency nursing and end of life nursing care.

Seeking a happy and well-earned retirement, Dr. Craven instructed DC Care to market Castlethorpe Nursing Home. It has been acquired by Nitin and Parum Sidhpura, existing operators who also own SRJ Care Home in Nottingham.

Alison Willoughby, Regional Director appraised the business and the sale was managed by Lisa Rushworth, Senior Sales Negotiator. Alison commented: "Castlethorpe Nursing Home has a longstanding reputation in the local community and I am delighted we were able to assist Dr Craven in finding a suitable buyer to take it forward. With the outbuildings and extensive grounds, there is scope for significant development. Lisa and I would like to wish Dr. Craven a very happy retirement and also say a big thank you to Joanna Clark at Adams and Revers; Dr. Craven’s appointed solicitors."

Jonathon Read commented:  "It was a pleasure to work with DC Care in this transaction. We acted to obtain the funding of Castlethorpe for our clients. The process of working with DC was smooth despite many bumps in the road we managed to maintain control throughout by working together. That plus having healthcare professionals who know the sector can be the difference between a successful and unsuccessful transaction."
