DC Care sells The Limes
On behalf of Joan Wilkinson, DC Care is delighted to announce the recent sale of The Limes, located in the attractive village of Henlow in Bedfordshire.
The property is believed to have been constructed in 1840 and was converted into a care home in 1984. The first extension was carried out in 2001 to increase the capacity to 23 and then again more recently, to take the total registration to 28.
The Limes had been owned and run as a family business, providing care within the categories of old age, dementia, physical disablement, sensory impairment and terminal care.
With Joan looking to retire DC Care was appointed to market the business, liaising with Joan’s son Kevin throughout the sale. The home was acquired by Robin Singh, whose prior background was in operating domiciliary care and care recruitment agencies, with The Limes being his first care home purchase.
The sale of The Limes was handled by DC Care's Director Andy Sandel and Senior Sales Negotiator Clare Duffey. Andy commented “The Limes attracted a lot of interest from a wide variety of purchasers and we were delighted to have found a suitable buyer in Robin Singh. It was a pleasure working with Kevin and we would like to wish Joan a happy retirement!
We look forward to working with Robin again when he is ready for his next care home purchase.”
