DC Care Sells Sandybrook on behalf of Prime Life
On behalf of Prime Life Ltd, DC Care are delighted to announce the recent successful sale of Sandybrook, a high-specification former residential care home in Lower Darwen, Lancashire.
Sandybrook was previously registered with the CQC for a maximum of 25 service users until 2024, when an internal decision was made to close the home following a succession of manager changes and poor CQC inspection reports.

It was felt the property with its en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas and useful outdoor areas could be of great interest to a variety of care providers looking to either re-open as a dementia care home or alternative care use.
Having a long-standing relationship with DC Care, our client approached DC Care to market the home, and a buyer was successfully sourced, an existing care home operator. The sale of Sandybrook represents the second of two former care homes recently sold on behalf of Prime Life Ltd.
