DC Care Sells Netherlands on behalf of Prime Life
On behalf of Prime Life Ltd, DC Care are delighted to announce the recent successful sale of Netherlands, a former specialist care home in Horncastle, Lincolnshire.
Netherlands operated as a specialist learning disability service registered for a maximum of 11 residents. Although the home received a Good CQC rating, a steady decline in occupancy brought an internal decision to close the home and rehouse clients at alternative accommodation.

Whilst the property required a degree of modernisation and refurbishment and possible reconfiguration, it was felt that the excellent location, together with the size, layout, C2 usage and fabulous gardens made this an exciting opportunity for a number of potential alternative uses.
Having a long-standing relationship with DC Care, our client approached DC Care to market the home, and a buyer was successfully sourced, Home From Home Care an existing operator with a group of homes spread throughout Lincolnshire. The sale of Netherlands represents the first of two former care homes recently sold on behalf of Prime Life Ltd.
Following completion, Hugo de Savary, acting on behalf of the purchasers, commented "DC Care were highly communicative and responsive throughout the process. They played an important role in helping get the deal over the line, particularly given some of the complexities surrounding the property."
Netherlands was appraised by DC Care’s Director Andy Sandel and the sale was monitored by Senior Sales Negotiators Clare Duffey and Jonathan Rockliff.
